System requirements

Download
Section titled “Download”- Go to the GitHub Releases page.
- Download the latest
Fantommind_x.y.z_x64-setup.exeinstaller. - Run the installer — it is a standard NSIS one-click install. No admin rights required for user-mode install.
First launch
Section titled “First launch”On first launch, Fantommind starts the Python sidecar and opens the desktop dashboard. You will see a License Required screen.
Activation
Section titled “Activation”- If you haven’t purchased yet, click Buy License to open the Polar checkout.
- After purchase, Polar sends a license key email (check spam if not received within 2 minutes).
- Copy the license key from the email.
- In the app: Settings → License → Paste key → Activate.
- Activation contacts Polar’s API and binds the key to your machine’s hardware fingerprint.
Verify installation
Section titled “Verify installation”After activation, the dashboard home page shows:
- License status: Active
- Machine fingerprint:
[hash] - Sidecar version:
x.y.z

Updating
Section titled “Updating”Fantommind checks for updates automatically on startup. When an update is available, a banner appears in the top bar. Click Update now — the installer runs silently and restarts the app.
To update manually: download the new installer from GitHub Releases and run it over the existing installation.
